Ledgeview Public Works is now offering Curbside Brush Pickup

As part of the 2022 Ledgeview strategic plan, residents were surveyed on services they would like to offer.  Curbside brush pickup was one of the requested services, and Public Works will offer it in 2024. Collection days will be the week of May 6th, 2024, and the week of October 14th, 2024. Please observe the following rules when placing materials out for collection:

Brush must be at the curb before the Monday on which it is scheduled for pickup. Brush not at the curb when the crews come past will be left, and it will be the homeowner’s responsibility to bring it to the yard waste site.

  • Please only start placing brush at the curb two (2) weeks prior to the collection date.
  • Brush up to 6” in diameter is acceptable in lengths no greater than 12 feet.
  • Brush greater than 6” in diameter cannot be accepted at the curb. Larger brush, trunks and root balls are accepted at the yard waste site located at 655 Rockland Road.
  • Lay brush in piles at the curb with the branches laying parallel to the to the curb.
  • All branches should be lying in the same direction with the cut ends going with the flow of traffic.
  • Please do not place leaves, grass, or garden waste in with the pile of branches.  These items are accepted at the yard waste site.
  • Clearing of brush on lots for the intent to build or sell the lot will not be picked up. The intent of the pickup is to provide for disposal of brush generated as a result of routine yard maintenance.
  • If you are a homeowner removing trees on your property and will generate an excessive amount of brush, please reach out to the public works department prior to placing at the curb.

At this time, yard waste (grass, leaves, and garden waste) will not be taken curbside. Residents will need to continue to take these materials to the yard waste site located at 655 Rockland Road.
