Parks, REcreation & Forestry

The Ledgeview Park and Recreation Department works to provide quality spaces, places and opportunities for our residents to play, exercise, recreate, and enjoy nature.  Ledgeview incorporates over 90 acres of programmed park space in 7 different parks, 1.8 miles of paved recreation trails, over 70 acres of conservancy and greenspace, and an 18 hole public golf course.  Athletic facilities include two state of the art, turf baseball diamonds, a softball/little league field, and 5 multi-purpose athletic fields.  In addition to park and recreation amenities, the Park and Recreation Department oversees the urban forestry program which encompasses the planting, maintenance, care and protection of our tree population on town-owned properties.  The Park and Recreation Department receives guidance and recommendations from the Park, Recreation and Forestry Committee, a group of 7 Ledgeview residents who volunteer their time to ensure the preservation of our natural amenities for the enjoyment, betterment, and health of our community.
